Launched in Paris by François Pasquier and his close friends in 1988, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide phenomenon.
Le Dîner en Blanc de Paris continues to bring thousands and thousands of people together each year in some of the French Capital’s most prestigious sites like at the Pont des Arts, the Champs-Élysées, at Le Louvre, in the garden of Trocadero, and in front of the Eiffel Tower amongst others. In June 2018, Le Diner en Blanc de Paris marked its 30th anniversary. A record 17,000 guests from Paris and around the world gathered at the Esplanade des Invalides to celebrate this historic moment.
Le Dîner en Blanc wishes to promote friendship and elegance, setting a new standard for chic outdoor events. Built by friends and for friends, Le Dîner en Blanc is a unique event. All dressed in white, guests gather for a mass “chic picnic” in a public space that is kept secret until just minutes before their arrival. Over the course of the evening, guests experience the beauty and value of one their city’s public spaces by participating in the unexpected.
